Project Manager - Airport Security Operations

Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. (RMPS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee airport security screening operations in Rochester, New York.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in aviation security, workforce management, regulatory compliance, and daily security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily airport security screening operations and personnel.

• Manage supervisors, screening officers, staffing schedules, and operational coverage.

• Ensure compliance with applicable TSA regulations and security procedures.

• Coordinate with airport management, TSA representatives, and internal leadership.

• Monitor employee performance, attendance, training, and certification requirements.

• Maintain operational reports, staffing records, and performance metrics.

• Address operational issues and implement corrective actions.

• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee retention.

• Ensure continuous operational readiness and quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in airport security, aviation security, or transportation security operations.

• Experience managing large security teams and multiple shifts.

• Strong understanding of TSA security screening procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Experience with staffing, scheduling, reporting, and performance management.

• Ability to pass required background checks and obtain necessary airport credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous TSA, Screening Partnership Program (SPP), or federal security contract experience.

• Experience managing airport screening operations.

• Familiarity with TSA compliance inspections and performance standards.
