About this job
Job Description
You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
- You’ll support the Project Manager with day-to-day project management, coordination, administration, and field oversight from construction through closeout, helping ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
- You’ll coordinate with the Owner, design consultants, contractors, subcontractors, governing agencies, testing and inspection agencies, vendors, and other project stakeholders to maintain communication and help resolve issues and action items.
- You’ll maintain a regular on-site presence to monitor construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, approved submittals, contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable inspection and testing requirements.
- You’ll review contract documents and field conditions to identify potential conflicts, incomplete or nonconforming work, constructability and coordination concerns, and other risks affecting cost, schedule, quality, or project completion.
- You’ll manage RFIs, submittals, change requests, meeting minutes, action-item and decision logs, correspondence, field directives, contractor documentation, and other project controls, and follow up with responsible parties on outstanding issues and decisions.
- You’ll monitor contractor performance and construction progress, including manpower, sequencing, deliveries, inspections, testing, milestones, and scheduled activities, and communicate delays, deficiencies, coordination concerns, and emerging risks to the Project Manager.
- You’ll review the contractor’s CPM schedule against actual field progress, document key dates, evaluate schedule impacts and recovery plans, and support cost and change management, including PIs, CORs, proposals, time-and-material work, and monthly Applications for Payment.
- You’ll maintain daily reports and photographic documentation of construction activities, field conditions, safety observations, quality issues, changes, delays, and milestones, while coordinating inspections and supporting deficiency tracking, punch-list management, commissioning, Owner training, final inspections, and closeout documentation.
- Site Specific: Albany, NY
- Every role here has some in-person time — for collaboration, for learning, and because capital projects happen in physical places. We'll be as flexible as we can around how you make that work.
- 6+ years of construction industry experience in project management or construction management roles on commercial, educational, institutional, or other complex building projects.
- Experience supporting the day-to-day management and field administration of construction projects, including reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change documentation.
- Experience monitoring field conditions and identifying and communicating cost, schedule, quality, and coordination issues to project leadership.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Bluebeam, Kahua, PlanGrid, Procore, or similar construction/project management platforms.
- Experience serving in a combined Assistant Project Manager / Construction Manager capacity.
- Experience managing construction within occupied educational, institutional, or public facilities or with complex renovations, phased construction, utility shutdowns, commissioning, and coordination of multiple trades.
- Experience with cost management, change-order review, CPM scheduling, and project controls.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
- You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
- AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
- Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
- Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
- Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
- Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
