About this job
Job Description
You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
- You’ll resolve complex construction-project issues, disputes, and disagreements.
- You’ll develop, assign, and monitor OAR performance for assigned construction projects; in the Senior Project Manager II role, you’ll also manage and provide construction oversight to OARs.
- You’ll review project progress against submitted construction schedules and monitor scheduling and cost-control variances in the construction-project database.
- You’ll review change orders, assess their impact on the District, and verify submitted applications for payment while providing fiscal management across multiple construction projects.
- You’ll assist Regional Directors and Facilities management staff with bid and contract planning and assess bid specifications against District needs and stated completion timelines.
- You’ll provide functional direction in construction scheduling, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control, including monitoring contracts for architects and related consultants.
- You’ll coordinate program activities with District organizations, including the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management Branch, Facilities Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and Operations, and local districts.
- You’ll develop and recommend internal policies and procedures and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- You’ll need to meet one of the following qualification pathways:
- Option 1: Twenty years of full-time, paid professional project or construction management experience, including 10 years managing large programs with individual projects valued at more than $50 million, plus five years of experience in educational-facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects
- Option 1 continued: A degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management from a recognized college or university, or a Certified Construction Manager credential from the Construction Management Association of America as a substitute for the education requirement
- Option 2: 25 years of full-time, paid professional project or construction management experience, including 20 years managing large programs with individual projects valued at more than $50 million, plus five years of experience in educational-facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects
- Experience with design-build delivery
- Experience using Building Information Modeling
- Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified projects, Collaborative for High Performing Schools projects, or Division of the State Architect construction and design processes
- For Option 2, a degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management; a Certified Construction Manager credential from the Construction Management Association of America; or a valid California registration as an architect or professional engineer
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
- You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
- AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
- Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
- Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
- Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
- Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
