Dot NET Developer

We are seeking a .NET Developer to migrate legacy Classic ASP applications to ASP.NET Core using C#. The role involves analyzing existing applications, preserving business functionality, modernizing application architecture, and supporting testing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Classic ASP code, business logic, database dependencies, and integrations.
  
  
• Develop and execute a phased migration plan from Classic ASP to ASP.NET Core.
  
  
• Rewrite VBScript/Classic ASP functionality using C# and modern .NET development practices.
  
  
• Develop web interfaces, REST APIs, and reusable application components.
  
  
• Migrate data access from legacy ADO to Entity Framework Core or ADO.NET.
  
  
• Review and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and database interactions.
  
  
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and logging.
  
  
• Perform unit, integration, regression, and performance testing to validate functionality.
  
  
• Troubleshoot migration issues and support deployment, cutover, and post-production stabilization.
  
  
• Document application architecture, code changes, deployment steps, and support procedures.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and/or ASP.NET Core.
  
  
• Hands-on experience maintaining Classic ASP applications using VBScript, HTML, JavaScript, and ADO.
  
  
• Experience migrating legacy applications to modern .NET platforms.
  
  
• Strong SQL Server skills, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
  
  
• Experience with Entity Framework/Core, ADO.NET, REST APIs, and third-party integrations.
  
  
• Familiarity with IIS, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployment.
  
  
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating COM/COM+ dependencies and legacy session management.
  
  
• Familiarity with Azure hosting and Azure DevOps.
  
  
• Experience with React, Angular, or other modern front-end frameworks.
  
  
• Understanding of secure coding, automated testing, and application modernization.
