Aerospace Assembler - Now Hiring

We are seeking detail-oriented Aerospace Assembly Technicians to support a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer in Decatur, AL. This position will be responsible for assembling precision aerospace components while maintaining strict quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards. Candidates will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting products for the aerospace and DoD industries.

• Assemble precision aerospace components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilize hand and power tools for mechanical assembly and fastening.
• Install aerospace fasteners, rivets, and other hardware components.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
• Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks.
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and resolve assembly issues through troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Experience with defense aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management systems.
• Experience with aerospace fasteners, rivets, and precision assembly.

• Experience in Defense Manufacturing, DoD Manufacturing, and Military Programs.
• Understanding of FAA Compliance and Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP Systems.
• Ability to perform visual inspections and FOD prevention.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes.

The work environment is an aerospace machine shop that is climate controlled, ensuring comfort and focus. All necessary tools are provided to facilitate efficient and effective assembly processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
