Job Description

This Warehouse Worker role supports shipping and receiving operations in a clean, climate-controlled facility in Shepherdsville, KY. You will handle inbound and outbound freight, maintain accurate inventory levels, and safely operate warehouse power equipment as needed. The position offers weekly pay, multiple shift options, and the potential for permanent placement based on performance and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Physically receive, store, package, label, and ship freight according to established procedures.
• Support the development and growth of assigned accounts in coordination with sales and management teams.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory levels through careful handling and documentation.
• Operate warehouse power equipment, including forklifts and hydraulic jacks, to move and organize materials safely.
• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while performing warehouse duties.
• Stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive tasks as required by daily workload.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of experience picking and packing in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with basic warehouse tasks, including inventory handling, picking, and packaging.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate warehouse power equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jacks.
• Capability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform physical warehouse duties.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate processing of shipping and receiving documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Prior experience with inventory control processes.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• PITO (powered industrial truck operation) roles require prior equipment experience; non-PITO roles do not require equipment experience.
• Experience working in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse setting is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shepherdsville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
