IC&E Technician

AXG is partnering with an established independent power producer to recruit an Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Technician for its plant maintenance team.

This opportunity will suit a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, takes pride in reliable equipment, and brings strong controls capability alongside instrumentation and electrical experience.

Your work will include:

• Troubleshooting DCS/PLC systems and field equipment.
• Calibrating instruments, transmitters, and control valves.
• Maintaining electrical equipment and supporting plant repairs.
• Completing preventive maintenance, work orders, and technical records.
• Supporting planned outages and emergency maintenance.

We’re looking for

• At least four years of relevant experience in power generation, utilities, or marine propulsion.
• Strong practical controls troubleshooting.
• Working instrumentation and electrical knowledge.
• A disciplined approach to safety and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• GE Mark V, Mark VIe, or Emerson Ovation experience.

Candidates with transferable PLC or other DCS experience are also encouraged to connect.
