Inventory Analyst - Operational Accounting

Financial Additions is searching for a Inventory Analyst to join the Operational Accounting team at one of Dallas' premier oil and gas corporations in north Dallas. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire role, ideal for early-career accountants (1-4 years experience) - will also consider a sharp recent college grad with an accounting or finance internship during college. Responsibilities Include:

• Manage daily fuel inventory reconciliations for assigned pipelines or terminals.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately.
• Process and reconcile high volumes of accounting data across multiple systems.
• Analyze financial results and provide supporting details and insights.
• Communicate proactively with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Meet deadlines, maintain accountability, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a solution-oriented approach.

Qualifications Include:

• 1-4 years of accounting/finance experience working with general ledger
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience with SAP, RightAngle, Power BI, Alteryx, or robotic process automation (RPA) tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new accounting systems and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
