Experienced Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics - Commercial Projects

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics and Ductwork Mechanics for a long term commercial project helping install sheet metal and ductwork in the Baton Rouge, LA. area. The work schedule is Monday through Friday working day shifts. These are also temp to permanent positions for the right candidates. Weekly pay by direct deposit.

Pay: $24 - $26/hr. depending on experience

No per diem is offered.

Job Duties:

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal and ductwork components according to specifications and blueprints for commercial buildings.
• Install and hang sheet metal and ductwork.
• Perform quality checks on finishsed products to ensure adherence to standards.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to execute projects accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience (at least 2 years) working as a Sheet Metal or Ductwork Mechanic.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with various sheet metal tools and equipment, including shears, brakes, and welding machines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to sheet metal fabrication.
