Location: Greer, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Production Shift Leader to oversee second-shift manufacturing operations at a growing production facility. This role is responsible for production output, equipment troubleshooting, quality, safety, and team performance across automated screen-printing lines.
Mechanical troubleshooting is the top priority. The ideal candidate can independently diagnose and repair production equipment, lead a team, and keep operations running efficiently with limited maintenance support on second shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities and ensure output targets are met.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical equipment issues.
- Diagnose problems involving belts, bearings, drives, sensors, fixtures, and other components.
- Monitor production metrics, downtime, scrap, and product quality.
- Oversee changeovers, first-piece inspections, and in-process quality checks.
- Perform preventive maintenance and document equipment repairs.
- Assign staffing, coordinate workflow, and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Train, coach, and develop team members while enforcing safety standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate shift handoffs.
- Support installation and startup of new production lines.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
- Previous manufacturing leadership experience as a shift leader, line lead, working supervisor, or experienced operator ready to advance.
- Ability to monitor production performance and solve problems independently.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to second-shift hours.
Preferred: Experience with PLCs, robotics, electrical schematics, industrial maintenance, or screen printing. Screen-printing experience is not required; training will be provided.
Work Environment
This is an active manufacturing environment that can be hot and noisy. The position requires standing and walking for most of the shift, along with reaching and lifting as needed. Flexibility may be required for equipment installations and shift coverage.
