Kennel Attendant

The job entails:

• Heavy Cleaning – scrubbing kennel runs, cleaning kennel and shop working areas, laundry, dishes, sanitizing procedures.
• Vigorous activity taking care of animals - feeding, watering, exercising, monitoring their well-being and providing attention and care. May assist with bathing.
• Outside work – exercising dogs, scooping & cleaning kennel yards, yard work, sanitizing procedures.
• Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to be constantly moving, lift pets and heavy objects.
• Must have ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability and desire to learn and provide exceptional animal care and customer service.
• Collaborative and supportive working style.

Schedule: 4–10-hour shifts during operation hours, Mon-Fri 7am to 7pm, Saturdays 7AM to 7PM, Sundays 9AM to 7PM.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a boarding/kennel, shelter or animal care setting. Prior experience is not necessary, but enthusiasm and a good work ethic is! Only candidates that fully complete the screening questions and demonstrate excellent communication skills will be considered. Background check and references will be required.

Hourly rate will be based up on relevant experience & skills.

Betsy’s Boarding Kennel has an open part-time position. Candidates with animal care, kennel or veterinary experience will be prioritized.
