Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, managing customer relationships, project communications, and stakeholder expectations throughout installations, upgrades, and office relocations.
  • Lead multiple concurrent low-voltage infrastructure projects by coordinating schedules, site readiness, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Perform hands-on installation, termination, testing, and certification of Cat6A and fiber optic cabling, while maintaining compliance with TIA/EIA standards, safety requirements, and local building codes.
  • Conduct site surveys, review blueprints and construction documents, perform material and labor take-offs, and develop project estimates and bids.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with structured cabling, network hardware installations, and low-voltage infrastructure projects in commercial, campus, or data center environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, serve as an onsite client representative, and professionally resolve or de-escalate project issues.
  • Working knowledge of BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA standards, and fundamental IP networking concepts.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders and in active construction environments, and terminate/test color-coded copper and fiber cabling.
  • Available to travel daily to client sites throughout the Minneapolis metro area and participate in occasional weekend cutover and deployment activities.
  • Experience reading construction documents, performing site assessments, and supporting network infrastructure installations and upgrades.
  • Minnesota Power Limited Technician License preferred; BICSI Technician, CompTIA Network+, Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Axis, or related industry certifications are highly desirable.
