Electro Mechanical Technician

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electro Mechanical Technician role based in Fridley, MN. The Electro Mechanical Technician will install, operate, and maintain PVD coating equipment and related systems, ensuring safe and reliable performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive and corrective maintenance, and documenting work performed. The role involves collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime, assisting with equipment setup and adjustments for different coating processes, and following safety and quality standards. The technician will also support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to equipment reliability and maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for electro-mechanical and industrial systems.
• Candidates should possess the ability to perform Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting to resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Electricity, including reading wiring diagrams, working with control panels, and understanding safety practices.
• Experience with industrial machinery, vacuum systems, or coating equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Relevant technical diploma, certification, or associate degree in electro-mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
