Production Planner - Precision Manufacturing

A precision manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production requirements, manage work orders, and support on-time delivery. This position will work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and operations to ensure production schedules align with available materials, labor, and machine capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules and work orders.
• Review customer demand, inventory, and material requirements.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are available.
• Monitor work-in-process and production progress.
• Review manufacturing routings, BOMs, and lead times.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and production bottlenecks.
• Communicate priorities and schedule changes to production teams.
• Monitor order status and support on-time delivery objectives.
• Maintain accurate planning information within the ERP/MRP system.

Qualifications

• Production planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Understanding of work orders, routings, BOMs, and material requirements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple production priorities.
• CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or aerospace experience strongly preferred.
