Laborer - Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings

Youngblood Excavating & Contracting is hiring experienced builders for full-time work constructing steel buildings. This hands-on role involves erecting steel components, installing building panels and roofing, and operating construction equipment as part of a team. The position offers competitive wages and the option for full benefits after 60 days of employment. Applicants should be prepared to work at heights, work outdoors in varying weather and extreme temperatures, and travel out of town for one week at a time as needed.

• Erect and connect steel components while working at heights.
• Install sheet metal, wall panels, standing seam roofing, trim, gutter systems, and insulation.
• Rig steel components and run tag lines during erection.
• Operate heavy equipment, including telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
• Follow all safety protocols and coordinate with team members to complete construction tasks.

• Experience in steel building construction and basic metal assembly, including installation of the building materials listed above.
• Ability to read a tape measure and good coordination skills.
• Knowledge of and experience using lifts, telehandlers, and related construction equipment.
• Ability to work safely at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with a team.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Availability for out-of-town travel for one week at a time and long hours as determined by the scope of work.
• Blueprint and construction plan reading skills preferred.
• Two years of construction experience preferred.
• Two years of rigging and boom lift operation experience preferred.
