Residential Foundation Field Superintendent

Apex Foundation of Austin is looking for experienced, dependable Field Superintendents to join our residential foundation construction team.

We specialize in residential concrete foundations for production homebuilders throughout the Austin and San Antonio areas. We are looking for individuals who understand residential construction, can manage multiple jobsites, and take pride in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and completed correctly.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who can work independently, communicate effectively with builders and subcontractors, and take ownership of their assigned communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily residential foundation construction activities across multiple subdivisions.
• Coordinate subcontractors performing grading, forming, steel installation, concrete placement, and related work.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure jobs are ready for each construction phase.
• Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and concrete pours.
• Read and understand foundation plans, engineering specifications, and construction details.
• Maintain communication with builders, construction managers, subcontractors, and office personnel.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they cause delays.
• Inspect workmanship and maintain company quality standards.
• Track job progress and provide accurate field updates.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential construction supervision or field operations.
• Residential concrete foundation experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple jobsites.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Comfortable using smartphones and construction scheduling applications.
