Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Vascular Sonographer for an exciting 13-week contract opportunity in Katy, Texas! We are looking for a dedicated imaging professional with strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging.

• Position: Registered Vascular Sonographer

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks

• Contract Dates: November 16, 2026 - February 13, 2027

• Location: Katy, TX 77494

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Work Setting: On-site

• Uniform: Navy Scrubs

• Experience Required: 4+ Years

As a Registered Vascular Sonographer, you will play an important role in delivering quality diagnostic imaging services and supporting positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:

• Perform ultrasound and sonography procedures while ensuring the technical quality and accuracy of diagnostic images.

• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and assist with proper positioning.

• Select appropriate imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient needs.

• Maintain efficient patient flow and support daily imaging department operations.

• Enter and monitor patient information and relevant medical history.

• Review incomplete examinations and unsigned reports to ensure timely follow-through.

• Perform quality assurance checks on ultrasound equipment and identify potential malfunctions.

• Assist with equipment improvements and accreditation requirements.

• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to fellow technologists and less experienced staff.

• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and department support personnel to ensure excellent patient care.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or Sonography Technology.

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Experience in fetal ultrasound and fetal heart monitoring.

• Background in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM).

• Knowledge of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).

• Must hold one of the following vascular credentials:

  • Registered Vascular Sonographer (ARRT-VS)

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT - ARDMS)

  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS - CCI)

• Must also hold at least one of the following additional credentials:

  • Registered Sonographer (ARRT-S)

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS - ARDMS)

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS - ARDMS)

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS - CCI)

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS - CCI)

  • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS - CCI)

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.

• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients with assistance as necessary to perform job responsibilities safely.

• Current TB Skin Test

• Titers (MMR, Varicella, HepB)

• TDAP Vaccine/booster
