Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Base Salary (DOE): $100K-$150K
Requirements: 5+ years of electrical construction experience. Accubid and Solar Construction preferred. 

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to produce accurate cost estimates and lead electrical construction projects from bid through closeout. The ideal candidate will combine strong electrical estimating skills (including Accubid) with hands-on project management experience in solar farm and industrial, non-union construction environments. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining excellent client and subcontractor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed, accurate estimates and takeoffs for electrical scope using Accubid and other estimating tools; prepare bid packages and competitive proposals
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes; analyze costs, risks, and assumptions to produce final bid recommendations
• Create and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cash flow forecasts; track and report on project performance against targets
• Manage the full project lifecycle: pre-construction planning, procurement, construction coordination, quality control, commissioning, and closeout
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, field crews, clients, and stakeholders to ensure scope clarity, timely decisions, and smooth execution
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, change orders, and claims; maintain accurate documentation of contract modifications and project correspondence
• Perform site visits to verify conditions, resolve field issues, and support safety and quality compliance
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, industry codes (NEC), and regulatory requirements; promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Mentor and coordinate with junior estimators, project engineers, and field supervisors to build team capability

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of combined electrical estimating and project management experience on medium-to-large electrical construction projects
• Proven experience with Accubid (or equivalent estimating software) and proficiency in takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation
• Experience in solar farm and industrial electrical construction preferred; non-union construction environment experience strongly desired
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC, materials, labor productivity, and installation practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and subcontractor relationships
