Production Manager

About the Role

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and Night Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM shifts available

The Production Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality production output. This role is critical in managing production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The Production Manager will lead a team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a collaborative environment that drives continuous improvement and operational excellence. They will analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs. Ultimately, the Production Manager ensures that manufacturing goals align with company objectives while maintaining a safe and motivating workplace.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.

• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field or MBA.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

• Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).

• Experience working in the automotive manufacturing sector.

• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production teams, including training, performance management, and conflict resolution.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the production area.

• Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and supply chain departments to optimize production processes and resolve issues.

• Analyze production metrics and reports to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.

• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support uninterrupted production flow.

• Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

• Prepare and present production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and improvement plans.
