Family Law Attorney

SUMMARY:

Our client, a well-established boutique law firm based in Bradenton, Florida, is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of litigation experience, with a strong background in Florida family law. This is an opportunity for an attorney who can independently manage an active caseload, develop effective litigation strategies, represent clients in hearings and trials, and handle matters from initial consultation through final resolution. The firm offers a collaborative work environment, dedicated paralegal and administrative support, and hybrid work flexibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Independently manage family law cases from intake through resolution.

- Handle divorce, child custody, paternity, alimony, child support, equitable distribution, modifications, and enforcement matters.

- Develop case strategies and advise clients on legal options and potential outcomes.

- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.

- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.

- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with Florida family law statutes and court procedures.

- Work closely with paralegals and administrative staff to manage case progression.

- Maintain client relationships, case documentation, deadlines, and billing records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- J.D. from an accredited law school.

- Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.

- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, preferably focused on Florida family law.

- Ability to independently manage a family law caseload.

- Strong courtroom advocacy, legal writing, negotiation, and client communication skills.

- Experience handling contested family law matters and court proceedings.

- Ability to travel to local courts as required.
