Job Description

Job Description
Are you the person everyone turns to when safety questions get tough?

If you see a near miss or an awkward lift on the line, do you immediately think: assess, coach, correct, prevent? Partnering closely with Operations and guided by management, you’ll be the catalyst who turns that mindset into a robust, plant-wide safety program.

What you’ll do

You will blend hands-on floor time with program stewardship. One hour you’re leading a tailgate talk; the next, you’re analyzing workstation ergonomics and updating procedures. You’ll examine chemical handling, evaluate physical safeguards, and implement controls that prevent injury and illness. Through inspections, training, and data-informed improvements, you’ll help ensure we meet and sustain compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the safety program in collaboration with Operations and management.
  • Plan and conduct safety inspections; document findings; drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Deliver practical, engaging safety training tailored to different roles and experience levels.
  • Assess work environments and job tasks to identify and mitigate chemical, physical, and ergonomic risk factors.
  • Support regulatory compliance and internal standards through audits, coaching, and SOP refinements.
What sets you up for success
  • Deep knowledge of safety practices in production/manufacturing and/or construction, with proven OSHA and EPA certifications.
  • Ability to translate laws and regulations into workable procedures on the plant floor.
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a coaching mindset.
  • At least 2 years in a dedicated manufacturing safety role.
Core competencies
  • Manufacturing Instruction (MI)
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
  • ISO 9001 certification experience
  • Workplace Safety & EHS management
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
