Software QA

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Software QA Engineer job in Memphis, TN or McLean, VA. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the hospitality industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing across APIs, microservices, and user interfaces while helping advance an AI-enhanced engineering pipeline. In order to be successful in this position, you must have strong hands-on test automation experience with Java, Selenium, and ReadyAPI, along with REST API and microservices testing. Preference will be given to someone with Kafka validation, AWS cloud, and AI-enabled quality engineering experience.

Software QA Engineer Job responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver automated API and UI tests using Java, WebDriver, TestNG, and Groovy scripting with JMeter, SoapUI, and ReadyAPI.
• Test and automate microservices and REST APIs using Swagger documentation, and perform Kafka topic and consumer validations.
• Build SQL queries and validate databases using automation tools.
• Build and maintain CI automation pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Maven, and Git, and run parallel tests with Selenium Grid.
• Develop BDD feature files in Gherkin and contribute to enterprise test automation frameworks.
• Apply AI-enabled quality engineering techniques to support debugging, test case generation, and risk analysis.
• Estimate test work, document and escalate defects, and coordinate with US and remote testing teams.

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on test automation experience
• Proficiency with Selenium, ReadyAPI, Rest Assured, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and Postman
• Coding ability in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Groovy
• Experience with Jenkins, Docker, and Atlassian tools including Jira, Stash, and Bamboo
• Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and NoSQL databases such as Couchbase
• Performance testing experience with JMeter or BlazeMeter
• Strong understanding of concurrency, threading, algorithms, and data structures

This contract Software QA Engineer job is based in Memphis, TN or McLean, VA. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $52.00 - $55.00. Contractors working through Aquinas Consulting are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical indemnity coverage, a 401(k) plan, and biweekly direct deposit pay. Contract roles do not include PTO unless required by applicable state laws.
