Description

Lead electrical design at an established, award-winning MEP consulting firm in Charlotte.

Wednesday is your only required office day. The other four days are remote, with flexible start and end times.

What you’ll do

• Lead electrical design on commercial and institutional buildings
• Design power distribution, lighting and fire alarm systems
• Review drawings and specs, and run QA/QC for accuracy and code compliance
• Manage projects from design through construction
• Mentor junior engineers and designers
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical and plumbing engineers, contractors and clients

What you bring

• Active PE license
• 12+ years in commercial building design (slightly less considered with strong technical skills)
• Most of your experience at U.S. MEP consulting firms working with architects
• AutoCAD and Revit
• Solid command of electrical codes and a stable, long-term work history

Nice to have: healthcare projects, telecom/data design (RCDD), leading multidisciplinary teams.
