Key Responsibilities

Sr. Ships Planner
Key responsibilities include forecasting work orders within a 4? to 12?week horizon, ensuring alignment with required work and test sequences, and coordinating the logistical and administrative adjustments needed to support efficient task execution. This includes facilitating work order modifications, material coordination, and proactive planning aligned with test program requirements.
 
This position is well?suited for individuals comfortable in a manufacturing or commercial environment who possess strong attention to detail, working knowledge of submarine construction or component interactions, and the ability to effectively communicate with both management and skilled trades to support accurate and efficient sequencing of work.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and sequence work orders to ensure alignment with required production and test pathways.
• Forecast work within the 4? to 12?week window to support test program schedules and resource planning.
• Collaborate with Test Organization, Advanced Planning, Production Control, Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve gaps in work orders and optimize workflow.
• Research and validate test and work sequence requirements to prepare an accurate and complete work sequence that assists in work order preparation for the trades.
• Coordinate material needs, logistics, and related dependencies to ensure work readiness and evaluate shifts needed in critical pathway work.
• Recommend and facilitate modifications to work order ECD’s to support efficient sequencing and test alignment.
• Communicate regularly with management and skilled trades to ensure clarity, readiness, and alignment of planned work.
• Identify opportunities to streamline work pathways and improve integration between production and testing.
• Support proactive planning efforts to mitigate schedule risk and ensure timely progression through test events.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• 8+ years’ experience as an exempt employee in planning, test, operations, or engineering
