Project Manager

We have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager in the Contra Costa area. This position will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and coordinating the project schedule working within the budget scope.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to successfully solve difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Ability to coordinate all aspects of concrete construction with the stakeholders and general contractors which includes change orders, submittals, approvals, and RFI’s.
• Responsible for executing complex assignments requiring the use of advanced techniques
• Must posse knowledge and experience with monitoring cost against budget
• Ability to provide mentoring and strong leadership to field employees and site superintendents, with the objective to deliver each project safely while maintaining company’s highest quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills are required for this position to ensure company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct engineering projects; including, the overall safety, cost, schedule and quality of assigned projects
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, and or related field or combination of technical training and experience.
• 5 plus years’ related experience with comprehensive knowledge of the concrete construction industry.
• Position requires wide-ranging knowledge of concrete construction documents, concrete materials and their characteristics, concrete formwork systems, equipment utilization, schedule, and managing subcontractors
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have experience preparing and managing pay applications, change orders, submittals, and RFI’s.
• Public works experience desired
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite to include word, excel, and power projects along with Primavera
• Experience updating schedule using scheduling software (Asta Powerproject, Primavera, and MS Projects.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent time management skills with strong problem-solving ability
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
