Location: Detroit MI 48202
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Hours: 9:30am-6pm, M-F
Must have: Epic exp, multi tasker (vital signs, EKG, rooming patients, vaccine admin and MyChart), Professional and Friendly.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide direct patient care and assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures.
2. Perform phlebotomy and collect blood specimens accurately and safely.
3. Administer medications and vaccines as permitted by applicable regulations and facility protocols.
4. Check and monitor patients, including obtaining vital signs and documenting clinical information.
5. Assist with patient assessments, examinations, and treatment procedures.
6. Demonstrate knowledge of vaccines, vaccine administration, and proper handling procedures.
7. Maintain accurate patient records and follow infection control and safety protocols.
8. Support daily clinical operations, prioritizing patient care over clerical responsibilities.
9. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Required Qualifications

1. Active Medical Assistant (MA) certification required.
2. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
3. Strong phlebotomy skills and experience with blood collection.
4. Experience with patient care, medication administration, and vaccines.
5. Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
6. Flexibility to work the assigned schedule, including late evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Important: Candidates must have an active MA certification and current AHA BLS certification.
