Job Description
JOB STATEMENT:
Produces guides for overhead steel doors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sets up and operates rolling mill to form sheet metal sections of various types, gauges, and lengths from coils of sheet steel according to blueprints or other specifications.
Inspects first piece for variation from rolling or length specifications and make necessary adjustment to mill.
Starts mill for automatic operation and controls speed from control panel.
Patrols mill to detect jamming.
Inspects raw material or finished product visually or by measurement for variation from specified quality standards.
Must occasionally operate a forklift and overhead crane to move materials and product.
Keeps work area clean and neat.
Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must have mig weld education and/or experience.
One to two years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must regularly lift up to 75 pounds. Regularly required to sit walk, stand, and bend.
