JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Pediatric Emergency Medicine
  
• Licenses: Active Texas medical license
  
• Certifications: ATLS, PALS
  
• Experience: Case logs from previous 2 years required; must document treatment of at least 300 pediatric patients within previous 12 months
  
• Other Qualifications: Alternative board certifications not accepted; Medical Director screening required
  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care to pediatric patients in a high-volume emergency center.
  
• Work 12-hour shifts in a 24-hour physician coverage model, including days and nights.
  
• Collaborate with NPPAs and utilize Epic EMR and Abridge AI scribe technology.
  
• Manage patient transfers to Children's Hospital of San Antonio for high-acuity cases when appropriate.
  
• Adhere to all credentialing, privileging, and immunization requirements including ATLS, PALS, and annual PPD.
