Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified, fellowship-trained Cardiac Electrophysiologist for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The physician will provide inpatient EP consultations, outpatient services as assigned, cardiac device implantation, and advanced catheter ablation procedures.

This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call requirement and an established electrophysiology team.

Assignment Highlights

• $400/hour regular compensation

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• No call or scheduled weekend coverage

• Extended assignment beginning January 2027

• Inpatient and outpatient EP services

• Pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantation

• SVT and VT ablations

• CARTO, Abbott, Farawave, and Affera technology

• Major device manufacturers available

• Three EP physicians and three EP APPs

• Epic EMR

• Board Certification required

• Electrophysiology fellowship required

• Massachusetts license preferred; candidates needing licensure considered

• DEA and state controlled-substance registration required or obtainable

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient EP consultations.

• Diagnose and manage complex cardiac arrhythmias.

• Implant permanent pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices.

• Perform SVT and VT catheter ablations.

• Utilize advanced EP mapping and ablation technology.

• Provide preprocedure and postprocedure care.

• Collaborate with the EP team and advanced practice providers.

• Maintain accurate and timely Epic documentation.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified in Electrophysiology

• Completed Electrophysiology fellowship

• Recent PPM, ICD, and CRT implantation experience

• Experience performing SVT and VT ablations

• Competency with advanced EP procedures

• Massachusetts license preferred

• Willingness to obtain Massachusetts licensure if necessary

• Willingness to obtain DEA and state controlled-substance registration

• Availability for extended weekday coverage
