Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is required with 1 month within the last 18 months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Trauma Level I/II of recent hospital experience is required.
• Floating experience does not count toward the experience requirement.
• Correctional facility experience does not count toward the experience requirement.

Unit Details:

• Patients are mostly medical, including pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, and occasional laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy cases.
• Heparin and Lasix drips are non-titrated.
• The unit uses BiPAP and cares for stable tracheostomy patients.
• Patient ratios are 1:5-6 on days and 1:6 on nights.
• A dedicated monitor tech interprets telemetry strips; nurses must sign off on printed strips, verify the interpretation, and recognize rhythm changes.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Flexible contract hours: 36 per week only; 48-hour contracts are not available. Additional shifts can be picked up.
• RTO is limited to no more than 5 days.
• Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
• Typically works 2/3 holidays.
• Low-census on-call is required.

Floating Requirements:

• The assignment floats to Med-Surg, stable low-acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills Clinic RDU.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver's license required for submission
