Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >70 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Scrub and circulate skills required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
IV start/phlebotomy preferred.
Coil embolization/rotablader preferred.
GE and Philips equipment preferred, including Philips X-ray and GE hemodynamic systems.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Community hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials:
BLS is required, along with either ARRT-R or RCIS.

Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
All RTO must be requested with submission. Additional RTO after signing is at manager discretion.

Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population.
Daily caseload varies from 4-16 per technologist.
Cases and procedures include Impellas, ECMO, IABP, structural heart, diagnostic coronary, left and right heart, TAVRs, STEMIs, MitraClips, Watchman, PCIs, atherectomy with laser, CSI, and Rotas.
EP cases include leadless pacemakers, BiVs/ICDs, ablations for SVT and AFib, lead extractions, and re-implants.

Shift & Scheduling:
SLUH travelers must be available to work 4 out of the 8 major holidays: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, 12/26, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. If the contract ends prior to Christmas, travelers must be available to work 2 out of the 4 holidays within the contract: Halloween, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, and Black Friday.
Call required: 7-8 per month, 1 weekend included.

Floating Requirements:
The clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
