Prescription Landscape is hiring Snow Plow and Salt Truck Drivers to help keep commercial properties safe during Minnesota winters!

We're looking for dependable drivers who enjoy operating equipment, working outdoors, and being part of a hardworking team.

Whether you have experience plowing snow, spreading salt, or driving commercial trucks, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

Drive plow trucks, salt trucks, or trucks equipped for both jobs.
Clear snow from parking lots, driveways, roads, and other assigned areas.
Spread salt and other ice-melting materials to help prevent slippery conditions.
Follow assigned routes, site maps, and work plans.
Watch for icy areas, changing weather, traffic, and other hazards.
Drive safely around vehicles, buildings, pedestrians, and equipment.
Check your truck and equipment before, during, and after each shift.
Report equipment problems, property damage, and unsafe conditions.
Keep your truck clean, fueled, and ready for the next snow event.
Record work hours, completed routes, and materials used with company systems.
Communicate with supervisors and other crew members to make sure work is completed safely and on time.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
Safe driving habits and the ability to operate a truck in winter weather.
Ability to follow routes, site maps, and instructions.
Willingness to complete company training before operating assigned equipment.
Ability to inspect trucks and report problems or safety concerns.
Comfortable using a smartphone for work tasks and timekeeping.
Dependable and available to work when winter weather arrives.
Ability to meet DOT and CDL requirements when needed for assigned vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience driving snowplows, salt trucks, or other commercial vehicles.
Experience operating snow removal equipment.
Knowledge of winter driving and snow removal safety practices.

Pay & Schedule

Prescription Landscape offers competitive hourly pay based on your experience and qualifications.

Base Pay: $22–$35 per hour

Additional Pay:

Winter Operations Differential (24/7 Availability): An additional $2.00 per hour.
Driving Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for eligible drivers.
CDL Driving Differential: An additional $3.00 per hour for eligible CDL drivers, in place of the standard driving differential.

Total Hourly Pay:

Standard Drivers: $26–$39 per hour, including applicable differentials.
CDL Drivers: $27–$40 per hour, including applicable differentials.

Applicable differentials are paid for all hours worked, not just time spent driving.

Schedule: This is a seasonal, on-call winter position. Hours depend on weather conditions and are not guaranteed. Drivers must be available to respond to snow and ice events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Work outdoors in cold temperatures, snow, ice, and changing weather.
Sit and operate a truck for extended periods.
Climb in and out of trucks and equipment safely.
Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work as needed.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with assistance or approved lifting methods for heavier items.
Work safely around traffic, moving equipment, and slippery surfaces.
Wear required safety equipment and follow company safety procedures.
