About this job
Job Description
A Baker is responsible for producing high-quality baked goods—including pastries, desserts, confections, and bread—for various casino restaurant outlets. This role requires adherence to company values, policies, and procedures while maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward customers and coworkers. The baker prepares products to precise specifications, measures ingredients accurately, ensures cleanliness of the bakeshop and equipment, and supports efficient operations by monitoring stock levels and communicating with the Pastry Chef and team. The position involves multitasking in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity standards, minimizing waste, and maintaining strong communication with management and staff.
The role also includes operational tasks such as preparing pans, loading and unloading ovens, labeling and storing products, and assisting with special events or production needs. Candidates should ideally have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in a high-volume bakery or restaurant setting. The job involves operating bakery equipment like ovens and mixers and requires physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive hand use. Bakers work indoors in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures and must be knowledgeable about health, safety, and sanitation standards. Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are essential, and employment requires passing a pre-employment drug screening.
