Machine Operator (Packer)

Cenveo, a leading North American envelope manufacturer, is hiring 3rd shift Machine Operators (Packers) for our Smyrna, GA facility. Responsible for packaging finished envelopes, inspecting products for quality, and preparing orders for shipment. Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety and production standards.

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Rate: $17 - $18/hr + 3rd shift premium
• Shift Differential: 3rd shift - $1.50/hr / 11pm – 7am
• Schedule: Monday – Friday; Saturdays required during peak production or as business needs dictate.

What You'll Do

• Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed/web envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
• Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
• Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
• May be required to complete rework
• Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned/required.

Job Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
• Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills
• Detail‐oriented, safety‐focused, and reliable
• Consistent attendance and dependability are critical for this role

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and reaching
• Lift up to 55 lbs; manual dexterity required
• Work around noise, machinery, inks, solvents, and glue
• Ability to work in hot or cold conditions and stay alert around equipment
• Able to keep pace with high‐speed production for a full shift
