Job Title

Registered Nurse – Critical Care Step-Down (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Critical Care Step-Down unit serving an adult population (18 years and older) with a focus on cardiac and pulmonary conditions
• Manage a patient ratio of 4:1, utilizing strong assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• Monitor patients using cardiac monitors, suction, oxygen delivery systems, and vital sign equipment
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Work every other weekend, with an expected 24 hours of weekend coverage per rotation
• Float to other units as needed; this position is first to float

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EHR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis
• Familiarity with common diagnoses including cardiac conditions, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, CHF exacerbation, post-operative care, and CIWA protocol
