Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving primarily adult and geriatric populations
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 in a 17-bed ED with approximately 40 visits per day
• Document accurately using MediTech EHR system
• Participate in call coverage to support daily volume and 24/7 coverage needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Iowa
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an acute care facility
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start
• Must have Iowa SING background check cleared (criminal and child abuse portions) — no exceptions; all background checks must be fully cleared prior to start
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers from the last 12 months required (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in a similarly sized emergency department or regional health center
• Familiarity with MediTech EHR
