Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for post-surgical patients, including orthopedic, general surgery, and neuro populations, utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage the clinical situation.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact RN license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); weekend shifts may be required based on scheduling needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR is a plus.
• Background working with post-surgical, orthopedic, general surgery, or neuro patient populations.
