Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit managing diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, chest pain rule-out, CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal
• Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias via continuous telemetry monitoring
• Manage and maintain central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and IV access; administer blood products as ordered
• Operate and monitor non-invasive respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, and supplemental oxygen delivery systems
• Participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activations as needed
• Maintain strict isolation precautions and proper PPE use; float to other units as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience (this unit does not accept first-time travelers)
• Experience managing patients with substance withdrawal and seizure disorders
• Proficiency with non-invasive airway management including BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC
• Demonstrated experience with blood product administration and central/PICC line management
