Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) – Kentucky | Multi-Hospital Locum Tenens Opportunity

January 1, 2027 Start | 6–12 Month Assignment | Multiple Physician Openings

Rhino Medical is leading the charge on an exceptional, long-term Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity spanning six hospitals throughout Southcentral Kentucky. We are recruiting multiple experienced physicians interested in establishing a consistent, high-volume locum schedule with one regional hospital network.

Opportunities offering this combination of longevity, recurring shift availability, and flexibility across multiple hospitals are uncommon. With an anticipated six-month to one-year need and approximately 6–10 shifts per month per physician, this assignment is particularly attractive for clinicians looking to dedicate a substantial portion of their locum availability to one ongoing opportunity.

Rather than pursuing isolated shifts at unrelated facilities, physicians can potentially establish a dependable rotation across several emergency departments, each offering its own clinical environment, patient population, and practice experience.

  • Willingness to consider assignments across multiple participating hospitals
  • Ability to provide consistent monthly availability throughout a long-term assignment

Availability and Commitment

We are particularly interested in physicians who can make this opportunity a primary component of their locum tenens schedule.

The anticipated need of 6–10 shifts monthly, combined with six participating emergency departments, creates meaningful potential for recurring work. Physicians with greater availability are strongly encouraged to discuss their scheduling capacity.

Ideal candidates will be able to:

  • Begin considering assignments January 1, 2027
  • Offer consistent monthly availability for at least six months
  • Consider day, night, or extended coverage arrangements according to facility needs
  • Remain flexible regarding assignments across the regional hospital network
  • Establish a dependable, long-term working relationship rather than pursuing occasional isolated shifts

A Rare Opportunity for Long-Term Locum Stability

For physicians seeking more than another short-term emergency medicine assignment, this program offers an opportunity to build a sustained schedule within one regional network while maintaining the flexibility of locum tenens practice.

Whether your preference is a higher-acuity regional emergency department or the autonomy of rural community medicine, this six-hospital opportunity offers several distinct practice environments within one long-term engagement.
