Plaintiff Litigation Paralegal

• Review and organize Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), educational evaluations, student records, and other case documentation. 
• Prepare case summaries and detailed chronologies, identifying gaps in records for attorney review. 
• Support administrative hearings before California’s Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), including exhibit preparation, exhibit lists, and deadline tracking. 
• Draft and proofread legal correspondence, case summaries, and litigation documents under attorney supervision. 
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, evidence organization, factual analysis, and hearing preparation. 
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with parents, attorneys, and other stakeholders. 
• Maintain organized digital case files and protect confidential legal and educational information. 

• California litigation paralegal experience in one or more of the following areas: plaintiff-side employment discrimination, ADA matters, personal injury, or complex civil litigation. 
• Experience supporting discovery, reviewing extensive records, organizing evidence, preparing exhibits and chronologies, and assisting with hearing or trial preparation. 
• Strong writing, proofreading, organizational, and document-management skills. 
• Ability to manage competing deadlines independently and communicate responsively in a remote environment. 
• Willingness to learn special education terminology, procedures, and case workflows. 
• Sound judgment when handling sensitive information and communicating with families. 

• Experience with special education law, disability rights, IEPs, or educational records. 
• Familiarity with California OAH proceedings and special education due process. 
• Familiarity with Clio and NetDocuments. 
• Experience using PACER and CM/ECF. 
• English/Spanish bilingual proficiency. 
• Familiarity with AI tools in the legal field.
