Associate Attorney

Clausen Miller P.C. is a nationally recognized insurance defense firm with decades of experience representing major insurers and self-insured clients across complex litigation matters. We're growing our New Jersey litigation team and looking for a motivated Associate Attorney to work closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload spanning casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability.

This is a hands-on role from day one — you'll be taking depositions, making court appearances, and building your litigation skills within a collaborative, well-resourced team.

What You'll Do

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Manage discovery, including interrogatories and document review
• Perform legal research and case analysis
• Appear in New Jersey courts as needed

• 2–5 years of litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, or environmental liability
• Active New Jersey bar admission required; New York bar admission a plus
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Detail-oriented self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment

• Salary: $105,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience
