Job Overview

HireQuest is hiring dependable, mechanically inclined Installation Technicians for a 4-week commercial fleet vehicle retrofit project. Technicians will install VAPR2 systems on commercial fleet vehicles, following established procedures and safety guidelines to ensure accurate, high-quality installations.

This is a hands-on opportunity for candidates with experience in automotive work, mechanical installation, vehicle upfitting, assembly, or manufacturing. Candidates should be comfortable using tools, following detailed instructions, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Install VAPR2 systems on commercial fleet vehicles according to established procedures.
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
• Follow detailed installation instructions and quality standards.
• Inspect vehicles and components before installation.
• Perform quality checks and report installation issues or defects.
• Organize parts, materials, and installation kits.
• Document completed installations, including vehicle identification numbers (VINs) and required photos.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all site safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Work with the team to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in automotive, mechanical, installation, assembly, or a related field.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of vehicle installation work.

Preferred Experience:

• Automotive installation, vehicle upfitting, or fleet retrofit experience.
• Manufacturing, assembly, or production experience.
• Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience documenting work using digital tools.
