Site Superintendent - High End Residential Construction

We are seeking a Site Super with extensive high end residential experience. Interested candidates should have 5+ years construction experience with at least 3 years of that experience on high end residential work with a general contractor or construction management firm.

The Role

You'll run the field on high-end residential projects in Los Angeles, from ground-up construction through full renovations, for some of the most private clients in the country. The firm is long established on the East Coast and is building out its West Coast presence, so this is an opportunity to help shape the LA team from the start. You'll work closely with leading architects and interior designers, lead subcontractors and field crews, and make sure every detail is built to the highest standard.

Responsibilities of the Site Superintendent:

• Review drawing revisions and approved shop drawings for scope changes and walk them through with the project team
• Analyze design documents and specifications, and request missing information promptly
• Keep an accurate daily report and an organized, current set of drawings and construction documents
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and give clear direction to field staff
• Run subcontractor meetings and walkthroughs, and carry out continuous quality checks against the specifications
• Monitor progress against the project schedule, identify the critical path, and report changes to the project team
• Hand the completed project over to the Service Department
• Keep the site clean, safe, and correctly signed, with completed work protected and an organized field office

Qualifications of the Site Superintendent:

• Superintendent experience on high-end residential projects in the Los Angeles area
• Advanced technical knowledge and the ability to spot problems in the execution of architectural details
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving, strategic planning, and time management
• Leadership and conflict resolution, with the ability to train and mentor field crews
• Strong client service instincts with owners, client representatives, architects, and designers
