Class A CDL Delivery Driver

People Source Staffing is hiring an experienced Class A CDL Delivery Driver for a local touch-freight delivery route based in Mechanicsville, VA. This is a physically demanding position requiring drivers to make backdoor store deliveries and assist with unloading freight at each stop.

Schedule & Route Details

·        Monday-Friday

·        Start and finish in Mechanicsville, VA

·        Dispatch between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM

·        Average 10-hour shifts

·        Overtime available after 50 hours

·        3-5 store deliveries per day

·        Home daily for most routes

·        Occasional layover required through volunteer rotation

·        Day cab with 48-ft trailer

·        Fleet includes manual and automatic transmission trucks

Pay

·        $30.00 per hour

·        Overtime after 50 hours

·        Paid weekly

Responsibilities

·        Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles, including manual-transmission trucks

·        Complete scheduled backdoor store deliveries

·        Assist with unloading approximately 1,400+ cases per trailer. A ride-along helper is provided, along with roller racks and hand trollies to assist with unloading.

·        Repeatedly lift and move products averaging 30 lbs.

·        Use roller racks, hand trollies, and other unloading equipment

·        Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

·        Maintain logs and delivery documentation

·        Communicate effectively with dispatch and store personnel

·        Follow all DOT, FMCSA, company, and customer safety requirements

Qualifications

·        Valid Class A CDL

·        12mths verifiable driving experience

·        Manual transmission required

·        Ability to perform physical, touch-freight deliveries

·        Able to repeatedly lift approximately 30 lbs.

·        Comfortable with early morning start times

·        Willing to participate in overnight layover rotation

·        Strong safety record and commitment to DOT regulations
