Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supporting students for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite contract role offers you the chance to make a genuine impact, collaborating directly with a supervising Speech Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality services within area schools. You'll be integral in implementing individualized therapy programs, supporting school professionals, and contributing to the progression of students with diverse speech and language needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia GaPSC Certification (please send verification snapshot upon application)
  • Prefer experience working within school settings
  • Solid understanding of supporting speech and language interventions under SLP supervision
  • Comfortable assisting with screenings, assessments, and AAC devices
  • Ability to implement therapy goals as outlined in students’ IEPs
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Adept at collaborating with SLP, teachers, and other school staff
  • Reliable, prompt attendance and full-time onsite availability
  • Dependable onsite work ethic and reliable transportation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the supervising SLP to implement therapy and treatment components per IEPs
  • Support screenings, assessments, and preparation of engaging materials
  • Follow structured treatment plans and maintain current progress notes and student records
  • Guide students in using AAC devices and support SLP-led technology needs
  • Attend meetings, assist with clerical tasks, and care for therapy equipment
  • Adhere to proper scope of practice—always working under SLP supervision and contributing updates, not recommendations
  • Participate in departmental initiatives, from training to research as assigned

This position is ideal for those who are passionate about supporting student communication growth in an educational setting. If you’re ready to bring your expertise to a professional, collaborative team dedicated to student success, submit your credentials today and embark on a fulfilling SLPA journey. Apply now to take the next step in your school-based career!
