Carpenter

About this role

Join a commercial construction team in Houston, TX as a Carpenter responsible for safe, high-quality workmanship and strong attention to detail. You'll work on active commercial sites performing framing, concrete formwork, installation of building components, and finish carpentry while following plans and project specs. This job requires hands-on trade skills, the ability to read and follow blueprints, and a commitment to keeping the jobsite safe and organized. Experienced carpenters may lead small crews and help oversee installation quality and field execution.

What you'll do

• Perform rough and finish carpentry: framing walls, floors, roofs, and finish trim/fixtures
• Set and strip concrete formwork, install blocking, and handle layout for slabs and footings
• Read and interpret blueprints, site measurements, and project specifications to mark and cut materials
• Install doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and building components per plans and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area; follow site safety plans and report unsafe conditions

What we're looking for

• Hands-on carpentry experience on commercial construction projects (framing and formwork)
• Ability to read technical drawings, measure accurately, and cut/install materials to spec
• Proven use of hand and power tools, layout instruments, and construction equipment
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work from ladders/scaffolding, and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work with project crews

Qualifications

• Prior commercial carpentry experience required
• OSHA 10 (preferred) or ability to complete site safety training
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Houston job sites
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Basic math and blueprint-reading proficiency
