Job Description

Take the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an elementary setting by supporting students in a dedicated behavior classroom. This contract position calls for a skilled BCBA or a special education teacher with a strong background in behavior intervention. Set within a welcoming school environment, you’ll provide important direct services to a small group of students—presently four, with potential to grow—ensuring individualized support and positive outcomes.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or special education teaching credentials with an emphasis on behavior strategies
  • Previous experience working in K-5 environments, preferably within behavior support or special education roles
  • Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) methods and functional behavior assessments
  • Excellent collaborative skills for working with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability to evolving caseloads

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, in-person behavioral interventions within a classroom specifically designed for students requiring additional behavior support
  • Design, implement, and adjust individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform ongoing modifications
  • Consult with and train school staff in evidence-based behavioral strategies
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers and school teams to promote student growth and ensure continuity of care
  • Contribute to a positive, proactive classroom climate that prioritizes respect, safety, and student dignity

This full-time, academic-year opportunity has you working 6.5 hours per day, five days a week, within a supportive school district. You’ll have the chance to directly shape the educational journey of remarkable students while collaborating with dedicated educators and specialists.

Ready to inspire change and foster success? Apply today to take the next step in your career helping students thrive!

Compensation for this position ranges from $49.67 to $69.67. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
