Job Description
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Michigan

Full-Time | Elementary School | Current Academic Year

Strengthen Communication Skills and Support Student Success

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with a Michigan school district to recruit a Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, elementary school assignment for the remainder of the current academic year. This opportunity is ideal for an SLP interested in helping students improve their communication abilities, build confidence, and develop skills that support classroom participation and peer interactions. Depending on district needs and clinician performance, the assignment may also be extended into the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Responsibilities

The selected Speech-Language Pathologist will deliver direct speech and language therapy to an elementary school caseload. This is a therapy-centered assignment, with no evaluation or assessment duties, allowing the clinician to focus on individualized intervention and ongoing student development.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain timely and accurate therapy notes, student records, and progress reports.
  • Monitor student development through consistent data collection and progress tracking.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students within the elementary school setting.
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and intervention strategies based on students' identified communication needs.
  • Coordinate with classroom teachers, school personnel, and families to reinforce communication goals across educational settings.
  • Contribute to IEP discussions and collaborate with the school team to support students' ongoing needs.

Requirements
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Ability to provide student-centered therapy and work effectively with elementary-age students in a school environment.
  • Current Michigan license to practice Speech-Language Pathology, required before the start of the assignment.
