Port Truck Driver (CDL)


We are seeking an experienced Port Truck Driver to transport containers to and from port terminals and designated locations. This position involves drop-and-hook operations with no waiting for cargo loading or unloading.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport containers between port terminals and designated locations.
  
  
• Perform drop-and-hook operations, ensuring trailers and chassis are properly connected and secured.
  
  
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report equipment issues.
  
  
• Maintain accurate trip records, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation.
  
  
• Follow applicable DOT regulations, port security requirements, and company safety procedures.
  
  
• Communicate with dispatch regarding assignments, container availability, and delays.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid CDL appropriate for the assigned equipment.
  
  
• Valid TWIC card and successful completion of TWIC verification.
  
  
• 2–3 years of port truck driving experience.
  
  
• Familiarity with port terminal procedures, container transportation, and drop-and-hook operations.
  
  
• Ability to operate equipment safely and maintain accurate documentation.
  
  
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
