RN - Oncology

Job Title: RN - Oncology
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 2 months Contract
Schedule: 7:00P - 7:30A
Hourly rate: $60/ hour on W2 Negotiable

• Education: BSN required
• License: Active NYS RN License
• Certifications: BLS required; ONC preferred, not mandatory
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years of Hematology-Oncology and/or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience required
• Clinical Skills: Medicine and chemotherapy experience required
• EHR: EPIC experience
• Unit Capacity: 36 beds
• Average Unit Census: 35.1 patients

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.
• Administer medications and chemotherapy as appropriate.
• Assess patients, develop care plans, and monitor outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols.
• Perform purposeful hourly rounding and support patient experience.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development
